Questo Blog vuole essere il resoconto dell'evoluzione di un CBR1100XX mod. 2000, preso usato di quarta mano per essere sottoposto ad una graduale ma profonda trasformazione, con lo scopo di estrarre la sua muscolosa anima sportiva da una fin troppo paciosa fisionomia touring.
Il lavoro è diviso in "step" (navigabili nel menù di destra), proprio perchè gli interventi sono tali e tanti da rendere impossibile un'operazione singola, ma richiedono invece una preparazione evolutiva costante ed uno sviluppo passo per passo.
L'immagine raffigura la moto nel suo primo giorno di mia proprietà; finito il trasferimento da Milano (ove risiedeva il precedente proprietario) a Prato, la moto è stata immediatamente smontata, in quanto era già pronto il materiale per lo "Step 0"...
Da qui in avanti il CBR1100XX SuperBlackBird verrà abbreviato con "SUN", acronimo di "Super Uccello Nero", che altro non è che la traduzione letterale del suo nome.

hai pensato di utilizzare il telaio del cbr 900? il motore del 1100 si adatta con poche modifiche.

EliminaEra una delle strade, ma le quote di sterzo del telaio Fireblade sono più nervose, e rendono la guida molto impegnativa, sotto l aspinta di un tal motorone. Le quote ciclistiche del talaio XX, invece, garantiscono molta più stabilità e solidità, pur a patto di uno sforzo fisico superiore.
